PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PHYSICAL THERAPY - PRN DAYS Job Location: Maryville, IL Position Type: PRN (8 Hours) Salary Range: $34.21 - $55.29 Hourly Job Shift: Days Description Job Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient and family needs within the parameters of the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act to promote optimal recovery and rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist coordinates care with the physician and others involved in the patient’s care. Service and Quality Standards: Service: Adheres to customer service standards. Qualifications Job Responsibilities: Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect for cultural and religious diversity. Demonstrates flexibility to meet staffing needs of department/organization. Meets productivity standards, accepting low census time and/or extra time as needed. Demonstrates leadership abilities while appropriately following the chain of command. Performs and evaluates appropriate assessments based on patient diagnoses, leading to care planning decisions. Provides age-appropriate and population-specific care in a safe and efficient manner to adults and geriatrics. Assesses patient and family learning needs, providing ongoing education and evaluation. Reassesses significant changes in patient’s condition and updates care plans accordingly. Identifies patient care needs to formulate and/or contribute to discharge plans. Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner, according to hospital policies and procedures. Education Requirements and Other Requirements: Education Level: Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Certification/Licensure: Licensed in the State of Illinois. Experience Requirements: One year of experience in a health care setting is required to provide home health services. Other Requirements: Must be able to complete computer work. Working Conditions: Exposure Category 1: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category 1 tasks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
