PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PHYSICAL THERAPY - PT DAYS Job Location: Maryville, IL Position Type: Part Time (64 Hours) Salary Range: $34.21 - $55.29 Hourly Job Shift: Days Description Job Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient and family needs within the parameters of the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act in order to deliver care promoting optimal recovery and rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist promotes safe and effective care to adults and coordinates care with the physician and any others involved in the patient's care. Qualifications Job Responsibilities: Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect for cultural and religious diversity. Demonstrates flexibility to meet staffing needs of department/organization. Meets productivity standards, accepting low census time and/or extra time as needed. Demonstrates leadership abilities while appropriately following the chain of command. Performs and evaluates appropriate and complete evaluation based on patient diagnoses and specific care, leading to appropriate care planning decisions. Provides age-appropriate care in a safe, skillful, accurate, and efficient manner to adults and geriatrics. Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides ongoing education and evaluation. Reassesses significant changes in patient’s condition and updates care plan appropriately. Identifies patient care needs to formulate and/or contribute to the discharge plan. Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner, according to hospital policies and procedures. Education Requirements: Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Licensed in the State of Illinois. One year of experience in a health care setting is required to provide home health services. Must be able to complete computer work and have reliable transportation for Home Health Care. Working Conditions: Exposure Category 1: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
