ABOUT THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partnerships Account Manager to join our Commercial Department. This position plays a pivotal role in nurturing and strengthening relationships with the Club’s existing partners. Your proactive approach and exceptional relationship management skills will be instrumental in delivering successful outcomes for both the Club and our partners. In addition, the role requires providing strategic insights and guidance to maximise the effectiveness and value of the sponsorship partnership with Melbourne Football Club. This is a Full-Time Permanent Position, commencing in March of 2025. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Reporting directly to the Senior Partnerships Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include: Build strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring they are engaged and maximising the full value from their partnership and our services. Work proactively with partners to understand their current business objectives and align them with relevant partnership activities. Work with partners to collaboratively set performance benchmarks and metrics against which the partnership and specific campaigns and activations will be measured and reviewed. Collaborate with internal marketing and digital teams to enhance Partner Campaigns and Activations, in line with the clubs marketing strategy. Manage partner budgets and financial tracking. Project manage digital media and experiential campaigns and activations. Engage with senior executives to strengthen partnerships. Identify up-sell opportunities across our Partnerships, Agency and Experiences platforms. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You are someone who exhibits strong multitasking, prioritisation, and effective time management skills, paired with a client service focus and a positive approach to problem-solving. Your team-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills make you a standout professional, and your track record of successful collaboration speaks volumes as to the person who you are. You have a keen eye for detail and enjoy presenting to both internal and external stakeholders. You thrive on building and maintaining strong relationships with your stakeholders and delivering exceptional service. You have a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Sports Management, Marketing or related field, coupled with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Corporate Partnerships, Sponsorship, Account Management, Business Development or related field. You have flexibility to work weekends at AFL/AFLW games and are excited by the opportunity to travel to see partners and attend interstate partnership events on occasion.
