We are seeking a passionate hospital orderly (Patient Services Assistant) to join our growing team at RiverCity Private Hospital (Auchenflower). About us: As part of Vision Eye Institute (VEI), Vision Hospital Group comprises 11-day surgeries across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. RiverCity Private Hospital is a beautifully appointed specialist day hospital co-located with two consulting clinics just 5km from Brisbane’s CBD. Equipped with state-of-the-art surgical facilities, including 3 stand-alone theatres, RiverCity is an accredited, contemporary, purpose-built facility. We have a permanent part-time opportunity ( 48 hours per fortnight) available within our passionate theatre team! About the role: The Patient Services Assistant (PSA) is primarily responsible for providing assistance and support under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing resources and facilities to ensure the effective provision of care to patients undergoing surgery. The PSA role is multi-skilled and involves the performance of duties across a number of functional areas of the day hospital including but not limited to housekeeping, cleaning, food and beverage service, transport of patients and equipment between theatres, and general patient support as directed. Working proactively with all team members and doctors, success will be built from patient-centred customer service, proactive contribution to positive team culture, and a commitment to providing excellence in clinic care. Ideally, you'll bring: 2+ years’ experience as an orderly/wards person in a hospital setting; or Operating Suite (desirable) Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment and able to organise and prioritise work demands within required timeframes Sound knowledge and practical application/commitment to understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles within a hospital setting. Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mindset to work with all members of the team, including doctors, nurses, CSSD staff, and the administration team You are a passionate team player, focused on person-centered care, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
