As the Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of payroll operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.You’ll work closely with finance, HR, and leadership teams, contributing to strategic decision-making while refining payroll processes. With a collaborative and purpose-driven culture, this role is perfect for a payroll professional looking for stability, flexibility, a 0.6 FTE arrangement, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution.The Role Managing the end-to-end payroll function, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while overseeing compliance, reporting, and budgeting. Working closely with finance and HR teams, your key responsibilities will include: Overseeing and processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls, including payments for board directors, councils, and committee members Managing payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with statutory obligations Developing and monitoring payroll budgets and forecasts Administering employee benefits, superannuation, and salary packaging Managing payroll system administration and continuous process improvements Coordinating corporate insurance policy renewals and maintaining records The Ideal Person You are a highly skilled payroll professional with a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field and at least five years of experience in payroll processing, system administration, and payroll accounting. With strong proficiency in payroll software (Micropay and ConnX desirable) and intermediate Excel skills, you ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.Your thorough understanding of payroll compliance, including PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax, helps you stay abreast of legislative changes. Highly organised with excellent time management, you balance competing priorities while providing valuable insights into payroll costs and forecasting. A strong communicator and problem solver, you collaborate effectively across business teams. Proactive and adaptable, you seek continuous improvements to payroll processes while thriving in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.Salary / Rate $120k – $125k + 11.5% superannuation + salary packaging benefits Permanent, ongoing part time position (0.6 FTE).
