You would be primarily responsible for end-to-end payroll for Rheem’s weekly pay cycle, which includes: Processing weekly payroll Remitting payroll taxes and reporting Preparing weekly & monthly payroll statements Maintaining time and attendance with roster plans and timesheets for importing into payroll Maintaining employees in the clocking system Records management Timely response to employee and supervisor/manager payroll enquiries Monitoring the payroll inbox and actioning requests / forwarding other relevant items to the Senior Payroll Officer & Payroll Manager Assisting the Senior Payroll Officer and Payroll Manager with ad hoc tasks where required The Payroll Officer will ensure compliance with government regulations, various awards, and Enterprise Agreements (EBA), establishing and implementing policies on matters such as payroll advancements to employees. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Certificate IV or above in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent demonstrated experience Demonstrated payroll experience; previous Preceda payroll experience is preferable but not essential Demonstrated working knowledge of all legislative, taxation, superannuation, and worker’s compensation requirements High degree of computer literacy (including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) Exposure to award interpretation Time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks Experience in leading the delivery and administration of payroll processes and procedures A mindset of continuous improvement and an openness to embrace new ways of working, leveraging technology to improve the way we work at Rheem Can-do attitude and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
