We are seeking a colourful individual with experience in a similar role to join our Australian Corporate Payroll Team based in sunny Broadbeach as a Part-Time Payroll Officer. More about this role: The Payroll Officer role is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of the weekly and fortnightly payroll, and to assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Employee Payroll function, processes and systems. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Process New starters into various systems. Process daily Payroll Audits. Process National Weekly Payroll run. Work on Labour Hire Employees to be setup in systems for clocking in and out. Be able to process end to end payrolls for fortnightly, weekly, and monthly pays that include payroll and associated activities, including overpayment recovery, superannuation and leave management. Process variations to pays and other associated employee conditions and benefits. Process Workcover reimbursements. Filing and scanning of employee documentation. Respond and resolve all payroll queries and provide comprehensive support to stakeholders. Ensure that payroll records are kept secure to comply with legislation and are accessible. Ensure that hard copies of records are filed promptly and in a suitable, secure location. Ensure electronic scanning and other space saving methods of storage and retrieval are processed accurately and on time, and that completed records are checked for completeness and quality. What do you need to be successful in securing this role? Previous payroll experience is essential. Must have a high attention to detail. Strong numerical skills and a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, superannuation, payroll tax legislation, awards, agreements, and contracts of employment. Honesty, integrity, privacy and confidentiality. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment. Intermediate Excel skills. Personality Plus! Positive disposition and strong work ethic.
