About the role: We are seeking a dynamic Generalist HR Business Partner to deliver high-quality HR support, services and advice that enhance employee performance, culture, and engagement. This role plays a key part in driving the values, vision, mission, and strategic priorities of the organisation. The focus is on fostering collaboration, teamwork, and strong business partnerships, while championing best practices, innovation, empowerment, and continuous improvement across the HR function. Success in this role requires the ability to adapt and respond flexibly to changing organisational needs, along with strong expertise in employee and industrial relations. This role suits an individual seeking to collaborate within a close-knit HR team, passionate about continuous improvement and committed to making a meaningful impact. As the People Support Business Partner your primary responsibilities will include: Provide strategic and flexible HR consultancy across various functions, including Workcover and compliance management, while fostering strong relationships with leadership and employees. Support leaders in driving people processes that enhance employee performance, capability, and potential, while coaching managers to improve morale, engagement, and retention. In collaboration with Learning & Development colleagues identify and address organisation-wide learning and development needs through targeted training and development plans. Support and manage organisational change and transformation initiatives, leading HR-related projects and participating in cross-functional initiatives. Advise on employee relations, dispute resolution, and industrial relations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreement, and relevant legislation. Manage performance counselling, disciplinary processes, and investigations with sensitivity and fairness while contributing to Enterprise Agreement negotiations and consultative processes. Implement employee engagement and retention initiatives, focusing on culture, communication strategies, leadership, and team development. Required skills and Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field. 3+ years of experience in a generalist HRBP role. Previous experience working collaboratively with unions (delegates and HSRs). Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
