About us Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities. About the opportunity Abergeldie is looking for a talented and experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our team in Regents Park. Supporting project delivery teams across NSW and VIC, you will play a key role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives and support a high performing, engaged workforce. This is a true generalist role, where you will be hands-on across all aspects of HR, providing both strategic and operational support to our project delivery teams. You will partner with business leaders, spending time on site to understand their workforce needs and provide practical, expert HR advice. Day to day you will; Spend time on-site with delivery teams to build relationships, understand challenges and opportunities, and provide proactive HR support. Provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of HR topics, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, policy interpretation, engagement, and retention. Support managers in implementing effective performance management practices. Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and dispute resolution. Manage employee lifecycle events, such as onboarding, probation reviews, promotions, and exits. Enhance workforce planning initiatives, helping managers proactively manage resourcing, succession planning, and team development. Prepare insightful HR reports and metrics to support effective decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and implement initiatives to optimise the HR business partnering function. What you’ll bring to the team Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience. Experience in a Senior Business Partner role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry. A hands-on, proactive approach, with a strong presence in the business and on-site with teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
