DEPARTMENT The Alfred Health Renal Service provides clinical services that incorporate an extensive consultative and management program for inpatient, ambulatory, and community-based renal care. These renal services are provided across the acute inpatient ward at The Alfred, ambulatory and outpatient settings, and three dialysis units across the Alfred Health campuses. Services are provided across the spectrum of acute and chronic kidney disease, including dialysis (including for acute kidney injury) and renal transplant. POSITION SUMMARY The role is responsible for supporting the Director of Renal Medicine and Renal Operations Manager with all personal assistant administration functions, as well as those reasonably delegated by them. This includes electronic diary management, agenda and minute taking, as well as being the first point of contact for the wider Renal Service enquiries. This role will provide administrative support to the wider Renal unit, including Medical/Nursing Workforce rostering into Kronos, as well as supporting both roles with set-up for onboarding new staff and completing leave approvals as directed. This role is a key stakeholder for the entire renal service, as well as the wider Alfred Specialty Medicine Program. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential Post-School certificate in secretarial studies or equivalent Experience as personal assistant or in secretarial duties Experience in the use of Microsoft 365 suite Experience in working with a wider variety of stakeholders, internal and external to the direct working environment Interest in health and willingness to learn medical terminology Desirable Diploma in Secretarial Skills or Business or Office Administration or equivalent Some experience at senior secretarial level preferred For enquiries regarding this position please contact Maria Safe, Operations Manager Renal Service at Applications close at 11 pm Friday, 14 February 2025.
