Job Description

Placement Coordinator - Master of Social Work (Qualifying) Our Client Our client is looking for a placement coordinator to manage the placement program for their Master of Social Work (Qualifying) course due to start in Semester 1 from the 10th March 2025. Key Responsibilities Coordinate field placements and ensure alignment with AASW standards and ASWEAS requirements. Collaborate with community partners to provide diverse, high-quality placement opportunities. Provide support, training, and supervision for students and stakeholders throughout the placement process. Job Description Key Duties Develop and maintain the field education curriculum to meet AASW accreditation standards. Oversee all aspects of the placement program, including securing diverse placement opportunities and conducting student assessments. Provide induction, guidance, and ongoing support to students throughout their field placement experience. Collaborate with placement educators and community partners to ensure program quality and compliance with AASW requirements. Monitor and evaluate the field education program, implementing improvements based on stakeholder feedback and best practices. Skills and Experience Essential : A higher education degree in Social Work. Eligibility or active membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Professional experience in social work, with an understanding of AASW and ASWEAS standards. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to guide students in selecting and navigating field placements. Desirable : Continued professional development in social work education or placement practices. Experience participating in workshops, training, or conferences relevant to field education. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
