Our commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability drives everything we do, and we’re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team and oversee our growing operations. Main Responsibilities: Health & Safety Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate health and safety risks across all sites and operations. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are promptly implemented. Maintain an updated overview of applicable regulations to ensure compliance with local and international laws. Strategic Planning & Implementation: Develop and implement the Regional H&S Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with global standards. Set and track clear H&S objectives for the region, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Lead the Regional H&S Steering Committee to guide the region’s safety initiatives. Compliance & Documentation: Verify that emergency response plans are in place and effective for each site. Ensure all legal and internal reporting requirements related to H&S are met, including documentation and filing. Support the preparation of required reports, incident investigations, and other compliance-related activities. Training & Awareness: Promote a culture of health and safety by conducting training sessions for employees at all levels. Raise awareness of H&S practices, leveraging internal resources to educate and coach staff. Provide regular updates to management on safety performance, incidents, and key metrics. Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate safety incidents according to internal guidelines, determine root causes, and define corrective actions. Track and report on the status of corrective and preventive actions across the region. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and supervise the implementation of regional safety policies, procedures, and programs. Collaborate with various functions to ensure the smooth rollout of regional H&S projects. Manage and work with on-site medical staff and external partners to analyze accidents, health risks, and ergonomics issues. Continuous Improvement & Mitigation Activities: Work with relevant teams to identify and mitigate gaps in safety measures, aiming to prevent injuries or adverse health impacts. Ensure that mitigation activities are effectively implemented, monitored, and reported. Support to Regional Projects: Provide H&S input to major change projects, such as machinery installations, site layout changes, and new constructions. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure safety criteria are incorporated into contractor selection and evaluation processes. Public Relations & Legal Support: Maintain relations with public authorities and assist with inspections and visits related to H&S matters. Support legal reporting requirements, including accident notifications and claims management. Who We Are Looking For: A university degree in a relevant field, with professional certifications in H&S management. Proven experience in Health & Safety management, particularly in FMCG, with expertise in production, commercial, and regional safety. Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in health and safety. Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating across teams. Excellent problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach and strong accountability. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and fostering a culture of safety. Advanced proficiency with MS Office; experience with SAP is a plus.
