Add expected salary to your profile for insights Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area. The role As the Plant & Equipment Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective planning, organization, and management of all plant and equipment within the construction program. You will oversee the strategic use of plant and equipment, ensuring maximum utilization and coordinating the efforts of the P&E teams. Your leadership will be key in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This is a full-time, fixed-term position, based in regional NSW (FIFO to Wagga Wagga) on a 10:4 roster. Primary responsibilities will include: Maintenance and Repairs : Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained and repaired promptly to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Safety & Compliance : Enforce adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards to ensure a safe working environment and meet regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site safety walks and ensure that any issues identified are promptly rectified and that improvements are actioned. Defect Management : Monitor and manage defects reported on pre-starts, ensuring that pre-starts are completed and properly recorded. Ensure that quarterly inspections on all P&E are carried out on time and meet the required standards. Team Culture Development : Foster a culture of teamwork among the plant teams to ensure smooth cooperation, ensuring integration with the broader project teams to enhance productivity. Team Management & Accountability : Lead and manage direct reports to ensure they are competent in their roles and adhere to project performance measures. Hold team members accountable for their performance and provide the necessary support for them to succeed. What you will bring to the team Minimum 8 years experience as Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Fitter AND relevant qualification Minimum 4 years supervisor experience Sound knowledge across full range of plant & equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, light vehicles Experience on large scale construction/mining/oil and gas projects Ability to act decisively, drive performance, think strategically and work collaboratively White card Additional high risk tickets/operating tickets desirable We’re building a diverse workforce.
