The Platform Solution Engineer role offers the technical expertise and focused attention needed to support Westpac's next-generation technology capabilities, including data analytics, platform development, specialized application development, and systems and processes. This position will primarily function in an Agile environment, and the individual will be responsible for supporting technology capabilities to ensure effective delivery of value to our customers. What do I need? Strong experience in software development and application system design. Proven experience in understanding the activities required to solve problems. Experience in providing quality reviews of code and leading quality control initiatives. Demonstrated significant experience with Data Platforms, especially Teradata (SQL, Utilities, Architecture, and Framework). Hands-on experience with Unix scripting, as well as DevOps design and tools. Strong data background, ideally with experience working on Data Warehouses and big data platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and consultative skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an open, clear, and engaging manner.
