The Shift Manager will lead and support the afternoon warehouse team to ensure smooth operations, timely dispatch, and high productivity. This role requires a hands-on leader focused on driving efficiency and team excellence. The PM shift hours are 2:30pm - 10:30pm. Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to: Strong and effective management of all relevant shift staff, including necessary training where required Lead from the front and build strong relationships with your team Ability to plan and forecast each shift’s key areas of production and communicate this effectively to the team, whilst remaining vigilant to prioritisation adjustments Motivate and drive your team to excellence through effective training, support, and by leading from the forefront Ensuring prompt receipt and dispatch of orders across entire team Managing inventory and communicating results or findings to the DC leadership team Effectively find ways to improve the overall speed, output, and productivity of your team Handle customer or supplier delivery issues and resolving stock discrepancies Manage Warehouse supplies Report on maintenance issues Roster management General ad-hoc where required Recruitment for the afternoon shift team WHO YOU ARE Proven track record of operational success in managing automated warehouse systems 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role Understanding of various WMS and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Prior experience managing staff, customers, and suppliers Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Previous experience implementing new processes Strong WHS understanding in a Warehouse environment Problem-solving outlook and ability to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
