There are a range of tourist activities to enjoy, such as swimming with dolphins and sea lions, cage diving with great white sharks or trying out a whale watching tour then taking in a range of wineries and tour destinations. About the role: We have a vacancy for an experienced Hotel Manager to join us and lead the team at the Port Lincoln Hotel. Reporting to Hurley Hotel Group Management and Owners, you will lead and mentor a range of skilled department managers with responsibility for the total property while working on the development of the team to aid in their career progression. We are seeking an energetic and versatile candidate who is friendly, organised and experienced to manage our day-to-day operations. The role requires regular communication across management, food and beverage, functions, accommodation, housekeeping, maintenance, gaming and cellars departments to ensure seamless delivery of customer service and ongoing sustainability. About the company: The Port Lincoln Hotel enjoys an enviable waterfront location and is recognised as a leader in hospitality and tourism on the Eyre Peninsula. Our facilities include Sarin's Restaurant, Bayside our casual indoor and outdoor dining and drinking area and Sharky's our Sports Bar with a huge 3m wide LED screen digital darts and shuffleboard. We have a full floor of function facilities with three rooms catering from small to large social occasions, weddings, conferences and entertainment, anywhere from 3 to 300 people. All this is serviced by two fully equipped commercial kitchens and accompanies our impressive 111 accommodation rooms, 24 hour reception, gymnasium, outdoor solar heated pool, bottle shop and gaming lounge. Have previous experience as the senior manager of a Hotel property with a range of busy food and beverage areas and function facilities Good experience with food service, menus and functions catering Good experience with beverage service, wines, spirits, cocktails and beer Accommodation experience is desirable but not essential; we have an experienced team and can provide training in this area if you have not worked with it prior Staff training and supervision Roster writing in consultation with department managers Planning and executing major events and activities Ensuring correct staff levels according to bookings and requirements Excellent planning and organisational skills with great attention to detail Ability to manage and implement service standards and procedures Reviewing annual sporting calendars to identify key trading times A well-groomed personal presentation Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously Ability to work flexible hours Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude Please apply now to be considered for this vacancy, we look forward to hearing from you.
