Portfolio Director of IT | Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach Hotel Brand: Crowne Plaza Hotels & ResortsLocation: Australia, New South Wales, Coogee As Portfolio Director of IT, you’ll ensure our technologies are installed properly, working efficiently, and that system security measures are in place. You’ll partner with the hotel operation teams and work on technology innovation projects that align with IHG standards and guidelines to improve hotel operations and guest-facing solutions. Your day to day People Work closely with the portfolio General Managers and Portfolio Executive Team to understand business needs and how technology can drive the guest experience, revenue, and profitability. Administer all user IDs, passwords, and sensitive system utilities, securing all sensitive information and critical libraries. Carry out training needs analysis of staff and design training programs to meet business needs. Engage regularly with hotel management, Support Centre, and ownership. Handle Level 1 and 2 support calls when escalated to the Field Service team. Assess new and existing technology to determine its fit for purpose within 24/7 operation demands. Seek opportunities to differentiate the guest experience versus competitors. Stay informed of the latest updates and developments in the hotel computer field. Implement technology innovations in-line with IHG brand and technology standards. Ensure guest-facing technologies are maintained to brand standards. Lead technology innovation projects to support hotel operations. Manage the CAPEX budget for 6 hotels, from planning to approval and implementation. Operational Create and maintain properties’ technology plans. Coordinate and implement communications for new applications/system installations and problem resolution. Provide project support for new implementations. Lead project work as needed. Provide end-user support to hotel staff and business center. Write proposals, analyses, projects, or cost models. Provide timely, accurate, and detailed status reports as requested. Forecasting and Complying within Budgets Ensure property management has budgeted and prioritized department operating budgets based on anticipated IT projects and property support needs. Apply knowledge of financial dynamics to assist management in achieving technology-related goals. Guide properties in reviewing operating statements and resolving discrepancies in technology charges. Advise property management on addressing technology needs in planning. Workplace Health & Safety Identify, assess, control, and monitor workplace risks to health and safety. Stay familiar with Workplace Health and Safety activities by reading notices on company communication channels. Attend training and drills related to Workplace Health and Safety and Security. Develop procedures and guidelines for workplace health and safety issues. Evaluate colleague performance regarding workplace health and safety responsibilities. Conduct training related to health and safety for self and others. Conduct accident and hazard investigations as needed. Implement corrective actions from investigations and reports. Ensure onboarding and refresher training for health and safety responsibilities. Promote health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives within the team. Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, worn, and maintained as required. Report injuries, incidents, or illness to the Duty Manager immediately. Key Metrics Tech Ready Metrics, SLA and Project Targets, Quality and Guest Love Targets. What we need from you Must be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent resident, or have unrestricted full-time work rights in Australia. A formal qualification in Information Technology or related field. 10+ years’ experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 years in the hotel/hospitality industry. High level of business savvy, change management, negotiation skills, and issue resolution. Advanced interpersonal, influencing, and consultative skills with strong leadership development capability.
