Job Description

Practice Nurse - Queensferry Medical Practice We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, dedicated clinical team. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Practice Nurse working in General Practice, but we would be open to training the right candidate if they have no General Practice experience. Main Duties of the Job You will preferably have experience in chronic disease/case management including: Diabetes COPD Asthma Coronary Heart Disease The following specific nursing skills/qualifications are highly desirable: Cervical cytology Childhood immunisations INR Star and anticoagulation monitoring Wound care Job Responsibilities Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week - negotiable Hourly rate: Dependent on experience Annual leave: 6 weeks pro rata The following personal attributes are essential: Commitment to continuing professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop clinical protocols to be disseminated with the wider team. Ability to work without direct supervision and determine workload priorities, for yourself and others. The successful candidate will hold a Registered General Nurse qualification and be registered with the NMC. This post is subject to references and a satisfactory DBS check. Hours of work are between 8.30 and 6.30pm Monday to Friday - hours negotiable, and some flexibility is required.
