Guided by our values your responsibilities will include: Web Management: Oversee design, user experience, and content for internal and external websites, ensuring user-friendly, customer-focused information. Promote online services and self-service content to drive cost savings. Establish and support an organization-wide content author network, including training and cultural adaptation. Manage corporate e-newsletters to enhance engagement with services, events, and initiatives. Ensure compliance with legislation, government guidelines, and international standards in digital communications. Social Media and Content Creation: Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of social media campaigns to align with corporate goals and maximize message reach. Streamline workflows to deliver exceptional customer service. Innovate interactions with online communities to position Redland City as a leader in government social media use. Monitor trends, track emerging issues, and proactively address concerns to protect the Council’s online reputation. Oversee the creation of photography and video content to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and campaign goals. Provide strategic leadership to direct reports, ensuring high-quality, timely, and budget-efficient outputs for clients. Define essential digital skills and competencies for staff, including CET Group, ICCC, LDCC, councillors, and social media managers, to enhance digital workplace effectiveness. Facilitate training, workshops, and forums to encourage digital and social media proficiency, offering advice, support, and mentoring as needed. Offer expert guidance on digital communications to drive improved communication, customer service, and community engagement across Council. Leverage data analytics to inform stakeholder requirements and deliver a customer-focused online experience. Develop, implement, and measure digital strategies to achieve corporate communication and engagement goals. Establish policies, procedures, standards, workflows, and meet audit requirements. Monitor trends and identify opportunities with emerging technologies. Provide strategic and operational advice to internal and external stakeholders, including the CET Group, Mayor and Councillors, CEO, ELG, Group Managers, and Legal Services. Emergency Management Communications: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and collaborative strategy development. Conduct in-depth analysis of global trends in social media use during emergencies to position Redland City as a leader in the field. Execute digital communication activities effectively during emergency situations.
