About the Role The Principal Advisor Autism plays a key role in the region's delivery of autism-specific services and expertise. The role is line managed by the nominated supervisor within the work unit and professionally supervised by the Manager, Autism Hub. Principal Advisors Autism enjoy a statewide network. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coach school leadership teams to build staff capability to implement evidence-informed practices to support students with autism. Deliver autism-specific professional learning for school staff and regional leaders. Establish and cultivate effective relationships and networks with key stakeholders including school teams, parents, internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with key regional staff to ensure a coordinated approach to support schools in the implementation of inclusive, evidence-based practices to meet the learning needs of students with autism and reduce practices that create barriers to access and participation. Provide advice and support to schools involving students with autism. Collect and share up-to-date information on programs, services, and supports for students with autism.
