We care | We build trust | Better together | Open minds | We serve to make a difference The Department is seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Consultant Audit to lead and coordinate internal audit and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with International Standards for Professional Practice. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Governance, Risk, and Audit, as well as internal and external teams, to strengthen internal controls and drive business improvements. You will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic advice on compliance, performance, and financial auditing, and ensuring that the Audit Plan is effectively implemented to provide independent, risk-based assurance. The role involves managing audits and reviews in alignment with the Audit and Risk Committee’s approved plan, while also developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will monitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations and work to improve governance and audit practices across the Department. You will play a pivotal role in contributing to the governance culture of the Department, supporting strategic risk management initiatives, and driving continuous improvements in performance. The position requires a high level of expertise in auditing, governance, and risk management, along with the ability to assess complex issues and provide actionable recommendations.
