Principal Consultant - Procurements and Contracts Branch: Program Kaartdijin Division: Schools Salary: Level 7, $134,481 - $143,736 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2024) This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing March 2025 up until end of June 2026 with possible extension. Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future. The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools. The Program values are: Integrity in all we do Open and transparent communication Collaborative approach – Shared goals and objectives Commitment and cooperation Value all contributions Exceptional customer service The Role Program Kaartdijin is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual for the role of Principal Consultant, Procurement and Contracting, to support the Principal Program Director in the establishment and management of procurement processes and contracts. The role requires someone who can demonstrate a high level of practical experience and skills related to complex ICT (information and communications technology) procurement, including the development and review of procurement requests, submissions, evaluation processes and contract management. The successful applicant will apply their contract management experience, ensuring contract deliverables are met within budget on schedule. This role will work with the Program, vendors, stakeholders and appropriate business units to ensure contractual obligations are being met, procurement rules are being followed, contract management meetings are being held for all existing contracts and ensure prompt escalation of high priority items as required.
