Job Title: Environmental & Engineering Recruitment Specialist Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Base Pay Range: A$160,000.00/yr - A$210,000.00/yr Role Overview: Core focus on gaining approvals for Renewable Energy projects. Newly created, highly varied role with real career growth opportunities. The Role: Provide actionable advice and take a lead role in developing project strategy to seek and gain approvals under the Queensland Planning Act for major-scale renewables projects (Wind, Pumped Hydro, Solar, etc). Utilise your knowledge of the QLD Planning Act / Planning scheme to identify planning pathways, opportunities, constraints and required actions to ensure successful project delivery. Mix of hands-on involvement in ensuring that suitable project materials are developed and reviewing/coordinating the work of your Planning team colleagues and other specialist inputs to the approvals process. Supporting full project development and approvals through to construction and operational phase. Liaise with internal colleagues, regulators and contractors to provide advice, influence and deliver upon project goals. What You Need to Have to Apply: In-depth knowledge and experience of the Queensland Planning Act and Planning scheme. Proven record of securing approvals for significant-scale projects (ideally including Renewables projects). Willing to be hands-on when required and also able to project manage others to achieve project goals. Great communication skills (written and verbal).
