A Temporary Full-time AO8 Principal Policy Officer Position Is Available In The Governance, Strategy And Planning Unit, Strategy And Performance Branch To Lead And Manage the development and implementation of a range of initiatives in risk management to support department-wide reporting and capability development; provide advice and reporting to executive management and governance committees on risk management effectiveness in relation to strategic, organisational and operational priorities. About Us Governance, Strategy and Planning (GSP) undertakes a range of enterprise activities to support the department to meet its strategic objectives and operational requirements, and delivers services and products to support frontline and corporate staff to effectively and confidently perform their duties. Your Role GSP Is Seeking An Exceptional Individual Able To Lead The Continuous Development Of The Risk Management And Reporting Function, Including Analysis And Recommendations To Support Effective Oversight By Executives And Governance Committees. They Must Be Able To produce high-level written reports, briefs, presentations, submissions and advice to executives and governance committees; possess knowledge of standards and contemporary approaches to risk management; distil complex information into succinct, clear and articulate reports, briefs and presentations; establish strong links with business areas and key risk stakeholders across the department; contribute to fostering a positive risk culture within the team and across the department. About You We are looking for an AO8 Principal Policy Officer with the following attributes: excellent communication, organisational, coordination and project management skills to manage significant change initiatives; a critical and strategic thinker, able to analyse risks and issues; exceptional high-level written skills, with the ability to translate complex information effectively and make informed recommendations to executives; leadership skills to contribute to fostering an inclusive workplace and team culture.
