Role details The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Principal Project Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity Contributing to the effective management of capital infrastructure projects in collaboration with the project team and respective facility stakeholders ensuring best project outcomes are achieved. Providing leadership and oversight to a small team of project officers. This position will operationally report to the MHEP Project Lead, Corporate Services, MHHS. About The Team In July 2022, the Queensland Government announced a $250 million funding commitment to carry out the Mackay Hospital Expansion Project (MHEP). This vital infrastructure project, which is being expedited as part of the Statewide Capital Expansion Program (CEP), will deliver an additional 128 inpatient beds for the Mackay Base Hospital (MBH). About Our Hospital And Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km² and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
