This is a great opportunity for experienced Traffic Engineers looking to join a dynamic team with a range of exciting projects. The role: The successful Principal Traffic Engineer will lead the investigation and resolution of traffic and transport issues raised by the community and various stakeholders. You will also oversee the delivery of small to medium-sized traffic and transport projects. Key Responsibilities and Experience: Lead the investigation and resolution of traffic and transport concerns from the community. Prepare correspondence, technical reports, and Council approval reports. Administer and evaluate traffic management plans. Coordinate with Council staff, community members, service/public authorities, and other stakeholders throughout traffic and transport project delivery. Utilize procedures, guidelines, and professional engineering knowledge to solve problems. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience/qualifications. Previous Local Government experience. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle challenging people and situations effectively. Excellent problem-solving and cooperation skills.
