A key to our success is securing an experienced Process Manager to join our processing team located at our clients Tennant Creek operation in the Northern Territory. THE PROJECT Coil Group is responsible for the commissioning and ongoing operations and maintenance of Tennant Consolidated Mining Group’s (TCMG) Nobles Nob 840ktpa Gravity/CIL Processing Plant centred on the historic Nobles Nob mine site in the Northern Territory. The site is situated approximately 15km east of Tennant Creek, one of the historically highest-grade gold mining towns in Australia. We are assembling a core team to execute the commissioning, operation, maintenance, and ongoing optimisation of this newly relocated and rebuilt plant, with commissioning set to begin in March 2025. Backed by substantial resources and a highly driven owner, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a significant impact from the ground up and helping shape the future of the business. THE ROLE Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing ongoing plant optimisation with a focus on tonnage, geometallurgy, recovery, and cost to ensure all technical standards and safe production goals are achieved in an efficient manner. You will have experience in managing operations and maintenance departments, providing technical support within a minerals processing facility, as well as possess the capability to lead a processing team to ensure the safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance of the plant is upheld. Previous experience managing a gold processing facility will also be an advantage. This role is available for immediate start, on a 2:2 roster. Mobilisation will be from Tennant Creek, Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs and Mt Isa, or on a residential roster with bonus. Interstate mobilisation available for the right applicant. DIDO options for local candidates will be considered. ABOUT YOU This role would suit a driven Process Manager ready for the challenge. To be considered, you will also have: Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Minerals Processing, OR demonstrate significant prior experience in a similar role. Current and valid Australian Driver’s license Ideally 5 years’ experience managing a minerals processing facility Strong working knowledge of gold processing preferred but not essential Ability to define and maintain plant targets and communicate these to operations and maintenance personnel Experience and ability to develop stringent training packages with the OHSE/Trainer Demonstrated computer literacy including spreadsheet and database development Proven experience with data management and metallurgical software Demonstrated experience in maintaining metallurgical accounting systems, and daily, weekly, and monthly reporting including gold reconciliations Comprehensive understanding and enforcement of maintenance regulations, practices, procedures, and equipment safety legislation to ensure statutory compliance Ability to support the development of proposals, reporting, and networking to continually improve the performance of the mill and metallurgical outcomes Ability to develop, review, and approve JHA’s and SOP’s Solid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships with your team and client representatives Ability to lead by example, demonstrating a hands-on approach to resolving issues in all areas of the processing plant Current and valid tickets required: S123 or statutory supervisor certificate.
