Join our Group Operations team who provide outstanding strategic level technical and operational capabilities, procurement and supply chain delivery, whilst ensuring cross business coordination and collaboration. Play an instrumental role as a Procurement Capability Manager where you will manage the program to improve and maintain the capabilities of the Procurement and Supply Chain Management team, ensuring related activities, policies, frameworks, methodologies, processes and procedures follow best practice and fit for purpose principles and approaches. This role will primarily be based in Southbank and is part of the Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Group Operations team. This role will deliver real outcomes. Key accountabilities require, but are not limited to, the following: Act as a trusted partner within AusNet, providing advice on the procurement and supply chain process, and translating information as necessary to solutions. Own development and implementation of programs that leverage subject matter expertise to uplift capabilities with regards to procurement and supply chain management. Contribute to P&SCM Centre of Excellence annual business plan. Collaborate with Governance and Sustainable Procurement Manager to ensure capability strategies and goals form part of P&SCM Centre of Excellence plan and align with overall P&SCM and wider AusNet objectives and priorities. Implement actions and initiatives per the approved strategies, allocating resources, tools and time as required to implement these initiatives. Enhance the supplier experience across the source-to-pay cycle, establishing AusNet as a customer of choice in the energy industry. Raise the enterprise visibility of P&SCM function by developing and delivering programs to collect and assess feedback that leads to tangible actions and improvements to close identified performance gaps. Lead continuous improvement across P&SCM policies, frameworks, methodologies, templates, business processes, procedures, reporting, and tools. Develop and implement methodologies and processes for setting KPIs in relation to these improvements, measuring progress against baseline endorsement to be secured from the Finance team. Provide clear, accurate and regular KPI reporting on these targets and overall capability uplift. Develop and implement a formal development/training program to ensure smooth onboarding of new team members and expedited uplift in capability across P&SCM; implement program in a way that enables members to acquire new information and perform at their best. Own and deliver ongoing training programs to ensure full awareness and utilisation of COE program deliverables within P&SCM. You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement as a practitioner. Procurement policy and business process development. Procurement training and development. Process mapping. Document writing. Leadership of continuous improvement programs. Problem solving and decision making. Presentations. Current knowledge and experience in utilities industry experience is an advantage. Project management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation. Technical proficiency: advanced competency with productivity tools (Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is mandatory. Competency with procurement enterprise systems (e.g. ERP systems, e-Procurement tools) is an advantage.
