Federal Government opportunity in Sydney CBD 6-month contract with the possibility of long term extension $74.00 – $86.45 per hour + super Our Federal Government client has responsibilities for national security, protective services, emergency management, border control, immigration, refugees, citizenship, transport security and multicultural affairs. The Role With demonstrated experience, the Procurement and Contract Management Officer will manage the procurement process for our client’s internal Refund Scheme which is currently underway. Requirements: An experienced procurement and contract management officer to manage the procurement process, including the transitioning in and out of service providers. To ensure procurement processes and documentation are completed within agreed timeframes, are compliant with legislation, encourage quality, maximise value and manage risk. Provide contract management advice and assistance, including draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders, including ensuring terms align with company objectives and provide favourable conditions. Manage and maintain appropriate contract records and registers. Identify potential risks within procurements and contracts, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. About You Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with demonstrated skills and qualifications in procurement and contracts management. Experience transitioning in and out of service providers. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and influencing skills, including ability to communicate to senior executive audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
