We currently have an exciting opportunity in Geelong for an experienced procurement and supply chain specialist to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of SCM, Technical and QA, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing raw materials, coordinating production planning, and ensuring seamless logistics and inventory control. You will work closely with manufacturing, finance, and logistics teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives, drive cost savings, and maintain high-quality standards. What is the Scope: Cultivate and maintain robust and positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw material. Validate and monitor business production needs, compile and source market information, escalate potential supply risks, and propose practical solutions to mitigate disruptions. Minimize material obsolescence and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery. Compliance with industry regulations and relevant company policies on inventory and material movements, safe storage and handling, etc. Collaborate and align supply chain processes with business goals. Supervise and provide leadership to warehouse and supply chain operations. Develop production schedules that align with demand forecasts and ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components for uninterrupted production. What You Will Bring: Proven hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain planning, and stakeholder relationship management. Prior roles with responsibilities in high-quality FMCG production or dairy industry sourcing viewed favorably. Detailed working knowledge and/or appropriate qualifications in procurement and the entire supply chain. Strength to articulate stakeholders’ requirements, resourceful in dealing with ambiguity, and drive results. A logical and lateral thinker. Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and to initiate and deliver change through effective and seamless working relationships with all levels, including internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and effective presentation skills. Thrives on problem-solving and takes initiative while maintaining a collaborative approach.
