Product Manager - Accessories

As one of Australia's leading and most respected fashion designer brands, we are excited to share that ZIMMERMANN has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our renowned Design team. This role is a technical management position working as a liaison and facilitator between our EU Design Team, Creative Director and key stakeholders working across multiple product categories, including Footwear, Handbags & Leather Goods, and Eyewear. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Ensure the critical path key dates are met throughout the development cycle according to key seasonal meeting schedules to enable on time range reviews, wholesale markets and production handover. Manage timelines according to Creative Director schedule, design timelines, and collaborator’s contributions. Awareness of style and colourway options according to the category plans provided by Merchandisers. Take detailed notes during reviews of research, sketches, protos, color and material proposals and salesman samples with Creative Director and Merchandise Director with key points from EU teams highlighted clearly at each meeting. Ensure accurate information is passed to development teams so all styles are managed correctly in the PLM System (C8). Follow all sample deliveries from EU to AU and receipt in PLM on arrival. Representing the EU teams and seasonal company Range Reviews and sharing detailed feedback for Wholesale and Production use. Monitor pre-production sample process to approved PPS using information provided by EU team whenever the production is followed by the AU team. Ensure the wider team is aware of critical path key dates and working to achieve company targets at all points for design and development. Required skills & expertise: 5 years’ experience in design and production of quality, luxury fashion accessories – ideally specialising in footwear. Previous experience with manufacturing processes. Have an eye for detail and a knowledge of luxury accessory finishes. Highly organized and understand the planning, production, and negotiation process. Strong computer skills particularly with Adobe Suite, Outlook, Excel, and some experience with a production computer system like PLM (C8). Possess a passion for luxury fashion accessories.
