Program Coordinator - Manager of Directions Branch: Coastal Lakes College Division: Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region Salary: Level 3, $137,428 - $150,385 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023) This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension (12 months) Coastal Lakes College (CLC) located in Lakelands, a southwestern suburb of Perth in the City of Mandurah, opened in 2019. It is a new and innovative college which includes an Inclusive Education Hub for students with moderate to severe and profound disabilities. CLC has a strong Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) focus, working in an innovative partnership with its local primary schools. Coastal Lakes College is seeking an administrator to work closely with the Executive Team and members of the broader College Leadership team to provide both strategic and operational leadership in the college. The Manager of Directions has a role in promoting the college vision, and encouraging college staff, volunteers from the community, and others to share ownership of the college’s vision and goals. To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess a high level of organisational, interpersonal, and management skills. The Manager of Directions will ideally liaise extensively with the Deputy Principals, Managers of Positive Support, and Head of Learning Areas. The successful applicant should be seeking the opportunity for both professional and personal growth within the dynamics of a new College as we seek to deliver on our vision of success for all students, understanding that success looks different for every student. The successful applicant will ideally provide whole of college leadership support for the implementation of the college’s Business Plan and administrative/operational assistance to the Associate Principal and Deputy Principals, including data analysis across Years 7 to 12 to inform individual student pathway planning for all students, including those in education support. You will ideally also be responsible for College operations, ideally with a thorough understanding of the operational requirements of a secondary school including, but not limited to: The provision of curriculum expertise to Learning Areas in relation to pathway planning across the college Years 7 to 12. Oversight of the Vocational Direction Program (VDP) students, General students, and students within our Growth Pathway (Inclusive Education and Integrated Learning) work placement. Oversight of certificate courses, including liaising with Registered training organisations (RTOs) and finalising Auspice arrangements. Liaising with Learning Areas to ensure quality assurances of vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) and General course documentation and delivery, including course and assessment outlines and pathway planning in alignment with School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) compliance. Oversight of Foundation and General course unit tracking and exemption requests. Oversight of Student Information Records System (SIRS) uploads within the Vocational education and training (VET) space to ensure SCSA compliance. Oversight of General and Growth Pathway Careers Day events. Assisting students with applying for Technical and Further Education (TAFE) and External Training Organisation applications. Facilitating the VDP application process for Foundation and General streams. Oversight of the Engage Program and liaising with the Engage Program Team. Oversight of alternative University Pathways (e.g. Therapeutic Learning Classroom (TLC) – assist students in this space. Management of group study sessions. Oversight of Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment – staff enrolments & progress tracking. Oversight of Endorsed Programs, externally set tasks, workplace learning management plan and external RTO management plans. Enrolment of students to attend Try-a-Trade events. Oversight of Research Training Program (RTP) Certificate courses setup, monitoring data and quality assurance. The successful applicant will ideally also facilitate interagency links to maximise support for students requiring support or potential targeted intervention and will ideally help facilitate parent links and parent’s participation and understanding to enhance positive educational outcomes for students. The successful applicant should promote an ‘inclusive and positive approach’ philosophy and practice within Coastal Lakes College and facilitate professional learning for school staff to ensure that the learning environment in classrooms can be accessed by all students. The successful applicant should understand that within the context of a new and growing college, many elements of the position may change and evolve over time. You should have a flexible and solutions-based approach to problem-solving to facilitate workforce effectiveness. It is highly desirable for the successful applicant to have Inclusive Education (Education Support) experience due to Coastal Lakes College having purpose-built facilities to cater for Inclusive Education students.
