About the Opportunity This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the SSN AUKUS Program within the Build Readiness team. This team is responsible for planning and leading the mobilisation of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard in preparation for the first of the class build program. Your responsibilities will include managing, planning, executing, and closing out minor projects or elements of various projects and activities. This encompasses services instructions, project deliverables, business / process development and improvement projects, financial support and analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant national project and be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team.Responsibilities Support and assist in the effective planning, coordination, preparation, and execution of project strategies and plans. Aid in the planning, development, and maintenance of performance baselines, including schedule development and management, data collation, financial reporting, work progress measurement, variance analysis, corrective actions, and KPI management. Assist in the planning, coordination, preparation, and execution of deliverables and submissions in accordance with project requirements, including undertaking reviews, monitoring, and reporting on project performance, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities. Participate in project risk assessments and opportunity reviews, developing and proactively managing risk mitigation and opportunity realization strategies. Liaise daily with the SSN AUKUS PMO team and departments such as Engineering, Quality, Planning, Estimating, Production, Learning & Development, Supply Chain, People & Culture, Commercial, Procurement, and Finance. Lead or assist in the development and retention of planning documents, processes and procedures, briefing notes, presentations, and other project correspondence and communication materials. Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships. Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis. About you Certificate or Diploma in Project Management. Training in risk analysis and mitigation. Understanding of procurement and contract management functions. Ability to work autonomously, set goals, and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Knowledge of project governance, controls, administration, and record-keeping practices. Experience and skills in stakeholder engagement and presentations. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
