The College is a not-for-profit organisation that represents more than 8600 surgeons and 1300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates.RACS also supports healthcare and surgical education in the Asia-Pacific region and is a substantial funder of surgical research. There are nine surgical specialties in Australasia: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. This role is of limited duration and is being offered on a maximum term basis for 12 months. About the role The Program Coordinator, SIMGs will effectively coordinate assessments, programs, activities and projects which support Specialist International Medical Graduates on their pathway to obtaining Fellowship of RACS by: Processing applications for SIMGs applying for the Specialist pathway and Short term training pathway. Coordinating the delivery of SIMG interviews. Developing and implementing administrative documentation and processes to support SIMG activities. Supporting the SIMG Department in effectively coordinating programs, workshops and events which support Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMG) on their pathway to Fellowship of RACS. Assisting the Manager to develop and implement the strategic plan for the Department. Establishing and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure collaborative development and delivery of programs. Developing manuals, presentations and teaching aids. Updating the relevant databases in a timely manner. Managing data for reporting purposes and preparing reports for stakeholders as required (including but not limited to the Specialist International Medical Graduate Committee and the RACS Executive Leadership Team). Providing secretariat support for working parties and committees (including the Specialist International Medical Graduate Committee). Developing and editing web content for all SIMG related webpages. Skills and Experience Completion of a Degree in business administration, event management or education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in coordination of educational events and assessments including logistics, content material, promotion and budget management. Experience in project management. High level customer service (internal and external relationships). Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with multi-disciplinary and multi-culturally diverse customers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in synthesising complex information and an ability to prepare reports and briefs. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. High attention to detail with the ability to think laterally. High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to manage the logistics of multiple events simultaneously. Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams. Computer literacy in other packages such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and databases. The salary range for this role is between $62,200 and $73,200 (excluding superannuation).
