Your New Role As a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer, you will apply your extensive knowledge and leadership to help realise the next generation of an integrated, robust, flexible, safe & sustainable Aerial Surveillance Service solutions. You’ll lead a team of multi-disciplined technical experts and industry partners through the full systems life-cycle to deliver compelling aerial solutions and approaches to meet demanding customer requirements within cost and schedule constraints. In the role, you will support Leidos in securing new business in our Airborne Solutions Business by generating compelling technical thinking, solutions and approaches to customer challenges. You'll also assist in mobilising new programs and provide technical leadership of our airborne research and development, new capability delivery activities. You’ll need to manage a variety of stakeholders, involving significant interaction with customers, vendors, partners, including senior stakeholders in a global context. Key Responsibilities: Technical planning, delivery, governance and leadership for complex, large scale aerospace systems integration projects Shaping and influencing customer requirements to align with the strategic goals of the program Provision of thought leadership within Leidos globally and locally; offering alternative points of view and future-proofed design solutions within an aerospace environment Managing all phases of the capability life cycle, from requirements through to development, acquisition, and sustainment within an aerospace environment. About You and What You'll Bring Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Eligible to be certified as Chartered Engineer through Engineers Australia or similar Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, including Mandated System Reviews Experience delivering complex technical development and integration (hardware and/or software) programs of >$50m Proven understanding of special mission aircraft including knowledge of C4ISR systems of systems and sensors.
