Program Officer, Youth in Education Docklands, Australia Reference: 6723104 Opportunity to enhance and build stakeholder relationships to improve health outcomes for young people in the north west Melbourne region Full time (1.0 FTE), Maximum Term role until December 2026 Base remuneration starting from $71k + superannuation + salary packaging Generous NFP salary packaging options up to $18,550 Docklands office location with option to work some days at home Reporting to the Coordinator, Youth in Education, the Program Officer, Youth in Education will support the development and monitoring of a range of commissioned activities related to children and young people. The role will work closely with other teams at NWMPHN to support an integrated approach to the commissioning of services for young people. This position will support the commissioning and contract management of the headspace network and other commissioned services across North Western Melbourne. About Us We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community. What are PHNs? PHNs have been established with two key objectives: Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of services for community members, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes. Improving coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place, at the right time. A typical week may include: Working with the community and other key stakeholders to build collaborative and coordinated care approaches across the region. Commissioning sustainable services that are coordinated, accessible, person-centred, and evidence-based. Working with service providers to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation strategies that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and quality, and contribute to the evidence base. Implementing and utilising project management approaches to ensure the delivery of work plans and priorities. Developing a range of plans, reports, and other documents to support the work and meet reporting requirements of the organisation and other funders (e.g., Commonwealth, Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, and Victorian Department of Education). We are looking for someone who has: Tertiary qualifications in a health, education, or related field relevant to the position or equivalent experience. Project planning, change-management, evaluation, and problem-solving skills, including identification and implementation of workable solutions to problems. Building effective relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes. Contract management, including the development of reports, project plans, and the implementation of monitoring and evaluation arrangements. Managing the performance of commissioned activities and services to meet community needs and agreed outcomes. Using initiative and working autonomously and in a team environment on a range of diverse initiatives to meet agreed objectives.
