Program Operations Associate This is a newly created high-impact operational role within Airtree’s Platform team, focused on the execution and management of key projects. You’ll be the linchpin that ensures Airtree’s strategic Platform initiatives are efficiently executed, driving our external brand presence and supporting portfolio companies. The Platform team positions Airtree as the partner of choice for startups in Australia and New Zealand, by growing and supporting our portfolio and ecosystem through networks, resources and programs that give founders an unfair advantage. As a tight-knit, multi-functional team, we focus on portfolio success, marketing, talent, and community, all to strengthen and elevate the regional tech ecosystem. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain insights into business building and venture investing. Think of the role as a junior Chief of Staff for the platform team, you'll manage all aspects of program and project delivery, from planning to execution, ensuring operational success in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Portfolio Success Lead, you’ll partner closely with leaders in Airtree’s platform team, investment team, and external partners to drive engagement, increase Airtree’s brand reach, and position us as the go-to fund for ambitious founders and investors. Responsibilities Program Operations & Event Execution Own the end-to-end execution and facilitation of Airtree’s key programs Explorers, Pioneers, & Executive Forums, and major activations, ensuring all logistics and operational details are flawlessly managed. Handle all aspects of program delivery, including content development, community & speaker management, facilitation, guest lists, and venue coordination for both in-person and virtual events. Collaborate closely with the portfolio success, marketing, talent and investment teams to align program activities with Airtree’s strategic goals and business objectives. Develop and maintain operational processes to ensure smooth program execution, tracking key timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder requirements. Community & Growth Manage Airtree’s social media presence and email marketing platforms under the guidance of our marketing and communications lead, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with strategic business goals. Ensure Airtree’s website and social media channels are up-to-date with relevant program information, and community initiatives. Support the development of new initiatives and content that showcase and build up the entire Airtree universe. Operational Strategy & Tactical Support Identify areas for improvement and efficiency, contributing to the continued uplift of the platform team’s impact on the Airtree business and our portfolio of startups. Provide ad-hoc tactical support for the platform team across business-critical projects and operations. Passionate about the startup ecosystem – you’re already plugged into the world of founders, investors, and tech operators, or you’re keen to dive in and become an expert. What You’ll Need: 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment. You might come from consulting, banking, or law and are looking to transition into the startup ecosystem. Experience managing complex logistics from planning and coordination to on-the-ground execution of events and programs. Great communicator – you're confident in leading virtual group sessions and conducting virtual speaker interviews with clarity and engagement. Strong project management skills – you have high agency; staying organized, meeting deadlines, and enjoy taking ownership to deliver exceptional results. Enjoy working cross-functionally – you’ll collaborate with multiple teams, ensuring operational alignment and success across initiatives. Comfortable with content management and digital tools – experience managing or a desire to learn marketing channels, email platforms (Mailchimp, LinkedIn, etc.), website content, and an interest in leveraging LLMs & AI agents to level up your impact.
