About the role Due to several upcoming projects, this role has been created to provide administrative support in the planning and execution of property and aviation related infrastructure projects. The Project Administrator (Civil) will work closely with the Development & Delivery Manager, and the Manager Projects & Environment to effectively design and deliver a range of civil and building projects. This will involve tender design and support, through to detail design and documentation, and construction & commissioning to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, within budget and to the highest standard. What you will be doing The successful candidate will be given a great opportunity to contribute to the development of the airport and the evolution of this new role, at the same time gaining valuable experience in the Aviation industry. The following list is a summary of the key responsibilities of the Project Administrator role: Assisting with the project planning, organisation and programming Reviewing project drawings and submitting RFI’s Supporting the procurement processes (materials and services) Communicating and consulting with clients to ensure project alignment Compiling site costings and preparing monthly budgets Due to this being a new role, it is likely that there will be other ad hoc responsibilities as and when the need arises. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a recent graduate (e.g. Civil Engineering) with some civil project experience (e.g. undergraduate experience) who has a keen interest in Aviation. Skills & experience required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of engineering principles, as well as Australian design standards Excellent time management skills, and experience in working with strict deadlines Demonstrated ability to apply disciplined planning & organising skills to all projects Project budgeting experience, and ensuring efficient use of resources Solid understanding of safety principles and the Qld Work Health & Safety Act 2011. Able to operate as a contributor to a small team in a rapidly changing environment Qualifications Tertiary qualification, preferably an Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Current Class C driver’s license White Card/Induction Card #J-18808-Ljbffr
