Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Buyer to help us shape the future. Based in Australia, within the Purchasing Department of the Transmission Business Unit, reporting directly to the Projects Purchasing Coordinator, the candidate will have the following responsibilities: Develop and execute the sourcing plan of Projects within the assigned Region; Manage the Project sourcing plan guaranteeing compliance with budget, timing, and contractual requirements; Manage complex contractual negotiations, ensuring, with the support of the legal department, the proper flowing down of the main contract provisions; Implement purchasing procedures and processes; Identify saving and improvement opportunities in terms of costs, process, quality, service, etc., possibly introducing new ways of thinking and approaches looking also at synergies across the Region; Promote Purchasing early involvement and support the Strategic Tender purchasing team in the negotiation of Pre-Bid Agreements; Scout the market to expand Suppliers basis for strategic commodities; Conditions: Previous experience of 2-3 years within the Purchasing function; Solid professional experience developed in multinational companies; Determined, enthusiastic, and committed to managing complexity and challenges; Excellent team-building attitude; Good communication skills and strategic mindset; Proficiency in English; Familiar with SAP system.
