The Opportunity Roper Gulf Regional Council is looking for full-time Senior Projects Coordinators based in Katherine, NT . Reporting to the Projects Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the management, monitoring, and reporting of infrastructure project delivery while ensuring best-practice project management and contract management principles are applied. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing technical support for capital works and infrastructure projects to ensure timely and budget-aligned delivery Monitoring project progress and preparing reports to track milestones and performance indicators Assisting in the development and maintenance of forward infrastructure project programs for budget and resource planning Supporting contract management activities related to infrastructure projects and programs Coordinating stakeholder consultations and responding to infrastructure-related inquiries Preparing, lodging, and managing grant funding applications for infrastructure projects Ensuring effective communication between project teams and other council directorates Assisting senior management with correspondence, logistics, travel support, and report preparation Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and participating in professional development initiatives Upholding workplace health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with WHS policies and procedures What You'll Bring To qualify, you will need a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline , along with considerable experience in project and construction management . A minimum of relevant industry experience in infrastructure project management or construction management will also be essential. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Knowledge and experience in construction principles, building services, and project execution Ability to interpret legislative regulations and procedural guidelines Strong financial management, reporting, and data management capabilities Proven experience in managing complex contracts, agreements, and project plans High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management applications Awareness of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles and practices As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong organisational and time management skills , with the ability to work under strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail .
