As part of Joint Systems, EWIS contributes to the acquisition and support of systems for electronic warfare, command and control, satellites, and guided weapons. About the Role: As a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, you will be supporting key EW projects within EWIS, delivering and sustaining critical Defence capability in support of Australia's war fighters in executing Defence's mission to defend Australia and its national interests. You will bring your project management expertise and experience to coordinate the various elements required to ensure project success, progressing projects through the various stages of capability lifecycle from strategy and inception through to in-service support and disposal. In doing so, you will play an essential role in providing the Australian Defence Force with cutting-edge technology and tools to deliver its mission. Note: This role/s are to be based in Adelaide or Canberra, though anyone that is willing to relocate is encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Work alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews. Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders. Facilitate, develop and administer delivery of acquisition and sustainment contracts with key Defence industry players. Coordinate Fundamental Inputs to Capability. Manage risk and issues, facilitate workshops and maintain associated registers. Undertake regular project reporting and management of dashboards. Manage arrangements with overseas parties, such as non-Australian Defence and government bodies. Input into project financial planning, including development of key document supporting the Commonwealth procurement process. What we would like from you: A project management qualification and relevant industry experience. Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated abilities to manage risks/issues in corporate toolsets. Demonstrated abilities to write SoWs. Demonstrated abilities to create and manage project schedules using toolsets like Microsoft Project, OPP or Primavera. Ability to lead a team within a complex stakeholder environment. Current NV2 AGSVA clearance OR ability to gain an NV2 security clearance. Desirable requirements: Defence experience in EW within the Maritime or Land domain.
