Project Manager - Assessor Hernan Building and Repairs Hernan Building and Repairs is a company that provides state-wide building services to Insurance Companies for residential home repairs. We are a market leader in Tasmania, a well-established company that prides itself on excellent customer service skills and quality repair results. The successful Project Manager will be responsible for a diverse range of responsibilities, working as part of a team that delivers quality repairs and exceeds customer expectations. Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our northern region with an additional project manager. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for: Conducting onsite assessments of insured properties to scope damages and determine policy coverage. Creating detailed and accurate assessment reports. Creating detailed repair estimates and quotes. Managing repairs and contractors. Liaising with customers, building professionals, and insurance assessors. Providing technical expertise on claim repairs. To be successful in the position, the following attributes are desirable: A Building Trade Certificate or knowledge in Building, Electrical, and Plumbing. Previous experience in the insurance industry is preferred. Intermediate computer skills and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with In4mo software solutions, ENData, and Prime Ecosystem is preferred but not essential. A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to problem-solve and manage trade or customer conflict. Strong written and verbal communication skills. An eye for detail and willingness to learn new tasks. Willingness to travel within the state and work flexible hours. The full-time position is based in our Launceston office and will include salary (negotiated on experience), vehicle/allowance, fuel card, phone, and parking.
