ABOUT THEM Due to the expansion of their offering in education and various other sectors, our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their Property team based in Newcastle.As one of Newcastle’s largest employers, this is your chance to step into a PM role & support the management of over 100,000 assets from Lake Macquarie to Taree! ABOUT THE ROLE In this newly created role, you’ll bring a whole-of-life asset management approach to oversee projects from the scoping and design phases all the way to completion! This role is for the master planner, the negotiator, the investigator — you crave to not only understand WHAT you are delivering but WHY!Using impressive insights from the asset management software, you will work collaboratively with the Manager Strategic Assets to forecast facilities management programs you’ll execute for up to 600 buildings in the region!You’ll support the management of a diverse property portfolio valued at $1.4 billion & deliver high volume multi-site projects with big impact! With projects ranging from Swansea to Taree, you’ll be a confident communicator and build trustful working relationships with contractors to execute your program while based here in Newcastle.As part of the broader Property team, you will collaborate with a construction team overseeing an annual capital budget of over $150 million. ABOUT YOU As the Project Manager – Assets, you will work on sites including schools, early education centres, and commercial properties. Your background will look like: Experience in a role spanning facilities management, construction, or project management. Certificate IV in Building and Construction or a Bachelor in Construction Management is a bonus! Experience in report preparation and the ability to administer contracts. Effectively manage minor/major projects or maintenance-based related tasks to ensure an efficient completion of the head contract and subcontracts. Big on asking the WHY and delivering projects to see impact on communities.
