This large federal government Agency is building an internal IT capability as they move away from a shared services IT model. As part of a multi-stream, multi-year transformation program, a new Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in the cloud is being implemented, moving off legacy Teradata and onto a new cloud solution (Snowflake, DataBricks), as well as new Analytics and Reporting capabilities being adopted through SAS Viya. The Data and Analytics Branch needs a new Project Manager to support the program by leading technical team members to deliver both business and technical requirements that align to the target architecture and use cases. You’ll be the voice of the program across all areas and lead tech teams from requirements to delivery. Duties Lead a technical Data Platform Team implementing a new cloud EDW joining and design phase. Work with Architecture, ICT, and external vendors to ensure requirements and design meet business needs. Develop the project schedule and maintain, track, and report on the plan. Deliver all technical components of the project solution, working with internal and external teams. Manage delivery partner(s) and direct staff for system implementation – this will include internal teams, IT teams from shared services partner (another large federal agency), and commercial vendor teams. Provide guidance and point of escalation for resolution of technical issues. Represent the project in Steer Co. Manage risks, issues, and key dependencies. Provide input into the design and implementation plans. Present Weekly Status Reports. Success Measures 7-10+ years IT Project Management within Prince2, PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, and hybrid models. Demonstrated experience leading a cloud data platform implementation and skilled data implementation resources (internal + vendor). Project Management and delivery of data transformation programs – on-prem to cloud EDW migration (data models, transformation logic, data governance, security). Experience leading implementation of modern cloud EDWs (DataBricks, Snowflake). Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry-recognised PM qualification (SAFe preferred). JIRA, Confluence, MS Project. Data Security and Governance. Project Management in Federal or State Government environments – HIGHLY regarded.
