Project Manager - High End Fitout & New Build Projects - $200- $220k + super Our client is one of the most reputable fit-out and new build contractors in the WA Construction market. With a significant number of projects in the pipeline, we are looking to add to the Senior Leadership team.Our client builds projects in the fit-out, new build, heavy and soft refurbishment sectors on projects ranging from $5-$50m. Their core business in the workplace sector has over the years been predominantly blue chip clients working across projects in the Perth CBD.They deliver projects under construction management, design & construct or lump sum engagements. The majority of their work is negotiated and repeat work.They have always strived to be different by taking a collaborative approach to building and working with their clients at a strategic level. They have a great core of reliable trades and treat them as part of the team with no excuses for late payment.They are now looking to engage a Project Manager to work in their delivery team. The successful applicant will report to the Construction Manager and be supported by a strong Contract Administrator and Site Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the scope and detail of the project. Select subcontractors and define their scope of works and programme. Establish the site in accordance with relevant Occupational Health & Safety requirements. Track costs and produce forecast reports to be presented back to the Operations Manager. Progressive management of the Quality of the build. Provide necessary set out, co-ordination with other trades, and direction of work sequence so Site Managers and their subcontractors can complete their work in accordance with contract documentation. OHS&E responsibilities as outlined in the OHS&E Manual. Manage client relationships, client meetings, and briefings. Lead, manage and develop Site Managers & work closely with CA’s to ensure financial outcomes are met. Preparation of daily and fortnightly programs in conjunction with the Estimating Team. Management of Defect rectification. REQUIREMENTS At least 10 years experience in the construction industry (fitout or new build commercial projects) in a Project Management role. Proven results in the delivery of high-end commercial office fitout projects is highly desirable. Computer literacy, including MS Project / Cheops / Procore - is desirable. Working knowledge of a Quality Management System and robust HSEQ infrastructure. Well-developed interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to promote effective partnerships with internal and external clients. Contractual and financial experience. The ability to work independently and as a member of a team. High level oral and written English-language skills. A high degree of integrity.
