Job Description

IPA has been part of the regional Queensland community for over 20 years, and we are passionate about our employee's safety, their wellbeing and ensuring they are always paid on time.We are looking for a highly dynamic Canberra-based Project Manager (non-ICT) who is capable of addressing significant policy challenges, working in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to implement complex programs and projects.Key responsibilities: The Project Manager will take responsibility for end-to-end project management, contract establishment, contract management, monitoring of project progress and reporting in relation to multiple projects. Leading project initiation, design, implementation, and closure in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Developing the procurement approaches and all the necessary procurement documentation in compliance with the Department's procurement policy and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Managing, monitoring, and reporting on project-related trends and performance against plans, schedules, and budget. Providing guidance to Project Support Officer/Junior Project Manager. Skills required: A strong experience in project management and program design; financial acumen and expertise in leading procurement and data-driven reporting will be key assets for the project manager to be successful. Successfully managing a diverse group of sensitive stakeholders and their contributions to the project is an important part of the role.Someone with strong expertise in designing and implementing multiple projects in parallel, procurement, and skills in both qualitative and quantitative reporting will thrive in this role. Having formal qualifications in project management or program design is highly desirable for the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
