Job Description

Description Do you enjoy being the face of the project team and interacting with the client? We need someone with an engineering or architecture background to manage client and subconsultant interactions and milestones. Historically, our engineers have doubled as project managers, but we have several large projects that require a dedicated project manager. Most of our projects are renovations, which makes for some interesting and challenging tasks. The fun of renovation work is dealing with the existing constraints imposed by the structure or building operations. We regularly solve problems like how to make the equipment fit into an existing building or figuring out how the contractor will build your design. We are such great problem solvers that 95% of our clients would refer us to others. Clients choose us when they want the job done right the first time. We serve our clients' missions as if they were our own, whether supporting the warfighter or our nation's finest government and educational institutions. With our headquarters located in Northern Virginia and a focus on renovation, you will get to go into some interesting buildings, sometimes seeing history from the inside out. Check out our projects page for some examples of our work. This position will report to a Board Member in charge of a design team. WHAT SUMMER CONSULTANTS CAN DO FOR YOU? Provide exposure to many different project, facility, and client types. Give you the opportunity to hone your business development skills. Provide a fun, small, and exciting work environment. Provide a flexible work environment including hybrid work options. WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR SUMMER CONSULTANTS? Help solve our client’s problems.
