Position Description: Project Manager – Signalling Location: Perth, Australia Company Overview: Naavi has partnered with a leading global resources company to identify a skilled Project Manager for a major upgrade. This initiative is approaching its go-live phase, and the selected individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and operational readiness. Role Overview: The Project Manager will oversee all interfaces during the project's operational readiness, testing, and commissioning phases. A strong background in rail signalling is essential, as the role demands expertise in managing complex signalling systems and ensuring their successful deployment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the project, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the rail systems are fully prepared for operational use, addressing potential challenges proactively. Oversee comprehensive testing protocols to validate system performance, reliability, and safety, ensuring all standards are met prior to commissioning. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project progression and address any interface issues. Identify potential risks related to signalling and other project components, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Maintain detailed records of project milestones, testing outcomes, and commissioning reports to ensure transparency and accountability. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications in project management or rail systems are advantageous. Minimum of 7 years in project management roles within the rail industry, with a focus on signalling systems and technology integration. Demonstrated experience in operational readiness, testing, and commissioning of rail signalling systems. Familiarity with the latest rail technologies and standards is essential. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive projects to successful completion within set timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
