The Team: TasEquip operates a statewide equipment loan scheme to eligible Tasmanians. The Commonwealth is establishing a National Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Scheme as part of the program for Australians over the age of 65. The TasEquip AT Loan Scheme Project is being established for Phase 1: Scoping and Planning to determine the requirements for Tasmania to undertake this expansion of service. A small dynamic team is being established to undertake this critical, broad and time-sensitive work. The TasEquip Project Manager will lead the small team and undertake essential work to ensure the outcomes and deliverables for this project. The Role: The Project Manager - TasEquip will scope, develop, and implement the plan to establish the National Assistive Technology (AT) Loans Scheme under the Support at Home Program in Tasmania. The National AT Loan Scheme Project is in two phases: Phase 1: Scoping and Planning Phase 2: Development and Implementation Progression to phase 2 will be dependent on the outcomes of, and agreement to the findings of phase one by relevant authorities. To do this, the incumbent will: Provide strategic leadership, direction, and support for the scoping and development, eventually leading to the implementation of the National AT Loans Scheme in Tasmania. Provide specialist advice for presentation to the TasEquip Governance Board and relevant senior staff regarding strategic and policy issues relevant to the scope, development, requirements, and implementation of the National Loans Scheme Project within TasEquip. Work in collaboration with the Department of Health, Support at Home, and other key internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate, to lead and integrate the National Loans Scheme in TasEquip. You will need: Extensive experience in project management with a proven understanding of, and ability to exercise contemporary project management, business process, and general management practices to achieve project outcomes, together with specialist knowledge in the running of large Government projects that have included the management of complex stakeholder groups. Proven leadership skills with a sound understanding and knowledge of the political, social, cultural, and organisational environment affecting TasEquip and the Government, and the capability to develop business strategies to maximise opportunities as they arise. High level experience in, and proven ability to, manage human, financial, and physical resources with the demonstrated ability to foster a productive and supportive team environment through the application of contemporary management practices and monitor and evaluate the team’s effectiveness and efficiency. Highly developed interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the proven ability to negotiate, manage conflict, develop effective partnerships with staff, management, and key stakeholders, and represent AT and the Agency to identify and explain acceptable solutions in situations of differing interests. Proven high level written communication skills including the ability to produce complex project reports, submissions, briefings, and ministerial correspondence that is readily understandable by internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to provide high level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills, demonstrating initiative and judgement in identifying issues, providing recommendations and solutions, initiating appropriate action and being flexible and responsive to changing and competing priorities in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
