Circular Design Synergy seeks a part-time Project Manager/Researcher to work on a series of projects related to circular clothing and textiles. Founded by Dr Lynn Wilson, Circular Design Synergy is a purpose-driven training and consultancy service, based in Edinburgh, that supports businesses and design-led enterprises to transition to a circular economy. Circular DS is driven by professional industry experience and rigorous academic research in circular economy business models, materials, policy, and user behaviour. We are seeking an experienced project officer and researcher to support Circular Design Synergy (CDS) in undertaking several projects in Edinburgh and online. The role includes: Community research in a specific area of Edinburgh Project management of several ongoing projects Assisting the Director with a range of tasks Developing a creative content strategy for specific projects related to fashion and textiles The candidate must have: Exceptional organisational skills Project management skills, using Excel Confident communication skills in person and online using PowerPoint Able to manage multiple projects and tasks on a weekly basis Excellent business skills and experience in a business environment Strong interest in sustainable fashion and textiles and/or environmental sustainability An ability and interest in engaging with a wide range of business settings and people To apply, please provide a CV and cover letter (no more than two pages), outlining your interest in the role and why you think you would be a good candidate. This is an open-ended contract, freelance position, on a day rate of £120 x 1.5 days per week (times of work are flexible between 08.00 - 18.00, Monday to Friday, initially for 6 months). There is an opportunity to grow and develop projects within the business for someone with initiative who is able to identify new opportunities. This is a remote position, and candidates need to demonstrate their ability to work in a healthy and safe work environment. The position is required to begin as soon as possible.
